The Back Cover, As Promised

Warrior Woman,

I cannot explain the powerful magic that carried me back accross the centuries to you. In my own time, I am but an actor on the screen. Yet here I stand, curiously at home in a primitive age - a viking jarl, miraculously resurrected from the flames of oblivion. And you are my destiny, my wild and beautiful Valkyrie, You hide your pain and sadness behind a mask of scorn - but I have glimpsed your secret tenderness from the shadows and felt the radiant warmth of your love. And if I must first conquer you to have you, then conquer I shall - to win your reluctant heart now and for all eternity.

Warrior Woman,
Wimpy Guy,

I cannot explain the powerful magic that carried me back accross the centuries to you.
Why am I not surprised? And a good thing for this 'powerful magic' that you can't explain it, because I have some rather harsh words for it if I ever find out where it's hiding.

In my own time, I am but an actor on the screen.
'But an actor', huh? So I take it this is not a job that requires a lot of skill and knowledge. Again, not surprised.

Yet here I stand,
To my vast displeasure, yes, you do.

Curiously at home in a primitive age - a viking jarl, miraculously resurrected from the flames of oblivion.
Alright pal, let's get some things straight. First off, neanderthals are the primitive age, not vikings. Secondly, 'viking' is a verb, not a noun, and it is the Norse word for 'raiding'; it does not refer to Norsemen in general. Thirdly, oblivion means nothingness, including flame of any kind. Are you saying you were kept in Hell all this time? Because that I do buy. And finally, it is immensely unwise to call the people holding big swords 'primitive'.

And you are my destiny, my wild and beautiful Valkyrie.
Sorry, but 'your destiny' has other plans. And while I'm at it, the valkyries were winged women who took the battle dead to the afterlife. It is not a euphemism for a pretty, hot-tempered woman, as you seem to think. If I could throw you into the afterlife, trust me, you wouldn't still be here.

You hide your pain and sadness behind a mask of scorn
No, I'm afraid the scorn is quite real.

But I have glimpsed your secret tenderness from the shadows and felt the radiant warmth of your love.
Are you stalking me, little man? *raises sword* And that 'radiant warmth' was the night you drank too much and went to sleep with the dogs, if I'm not mistaken. The whole steading saw you.

And if I must first conquer you to have you, then conquer I shall
Hah! Very funny. The dogs are whining; I think they miss you.

To win your reluctant heart now and for all eternity.
Please note the word 'reluctant'; it's very important in this context.

Yours in utter contempt,

Unnamed Warrior Woman
ROFLMAO!!!!! And words cannot describe how much this response makes me laugh!!! I love your wit :).
